The mission of the Honorary Consulate General office is to promote cultural, economical, educational development between the Republic of Latvia and the Republic of Jordan.

The Honorary Consulate General aims to protect the interests and rights of the Latvian citizens and subjects in Jordan, and as well to increase the awareness about Latvia, its culture, economy and education to Jordan general public for further strengthening the relationship between Indonesians and Latvians.

The office of Honorary Consulate General of the Republic of Latvia in Amman was established in December 2007 with the appointment of Mr. Khaled Miqdadi as the Honorary Consul.

Egils Levits is a Latvian lawyer, political scientist and judge who is the President of Latvia since July 8, 2019. He was a Member of the European Court of Justice from 2004 to 2019.
